Thomas Irving Wolfe

November 21, 1947 - February 26, 2016

Harlingen/Raymondville, TX Thomas Irving Wolfe, 68, went into eternal rest with our Lord on Friday, February 26, 2016 at his residence in Harlingen, Texas. He was born November 21, 1947 in Holton, Kansas. He graduated from Effingham High School in 1965. He served in the United States Army from 1967- 1969, where he served one year in Vietnam. Tom is a retired educator from Raymondville I.S.D. After retiring from teaching, he worked as a Project Superintendent and Safety Coordinator for Wil-Con LLC Construction until his 2nd retirement in 2015. Most of his projects were building schools throughout the Rio Grande Valley. He also served on the school board at South Texas I.S.D. for 25 years. He is preceded in death by his parents, Alexander and Muriel Wolfe, and his brother, James Wolfe. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Anita Gomez Wolfe, daughter Donielle (Justin) Roberts, son Terry (Cynthia) Wolfe, and granddaughters Riley Regan and Hattie Harper Wolfe, brother Larry Wolfe, and sisters Francis Wardin, Lora Sue Felps, and Joanna Wills. Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 1, 2016 with the family receiving guests from 5 P.M. to 8 P.M. at Duddlesten Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at First United Methodist Church, 1103 W. Hidalgo, Raymondville, Texas on Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at 10 A.M. Interment will follow in the Raymondville Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 825, Raymondville, Texas 78580. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Duddlesten Funeral Home, 604 W. Hidalgo Ave., Raymondville, Texas 78580. (956)689-2151.
