Margarita Bella Montalvo

March 1, 1945 - January 7, 2021

Raymondville,Texas Margarita Bella Montalvo, 75 entered into rest on Thursday, January 7, 2021 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen, Texas. She was born on March 1, 1945, in Norias, Texas to Nazario and Amelia Bella, who precede her in death along with her husband, Rogelio C. Montalvo, her son, Rogelio Montalvo, Jr.; brothers, Guadalupe Bella, Juan Bella and Nazario Bella, Jr. Maggie is survived by her daughter Rosie (Julian) Cortez, her daughter-in-law Ninfa Montalvo, grandchildren, J.C. (Julie) Cortez, Waylon Cortez, Darian Cortez, Daniela Montalvo, Mark Montalvo and four great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Jessalyn, Cash and Thomas; brothers Juventino and Jose Bella. Maggie had a warm, loving personality that welcomed all those around her. She was a devout member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Lyford, Texas.She was also a professional seamstress where she exemplified many hand-made wedding and quinceanera dresses for the young ladies of the surrounding communities. She battled several forms of cancer for the past 18 years but always put faith in the Lord and never questioned His will in her life, rather, she turned to her Savior for strength and maintained and maintained an optimistic outlook on life. Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 10, 2021 from 2-9 p.m. at Duddlesten Funeral Home and will continue on Monday, January 11, 2021 from 10 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will also be held on Tuesday January 12, 2021 from 10 a.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m. A funeral procession will follow to her final place of rest in the Raymondville Memorial Park Cemetery. Honored to serve as pallbearers will be J. C. Cortez, Waylon Cortez, Darian Cortez, Mark Montalvo, Javier Bella and honorary pallbearer, Daniela Montalvo. Special thanks to Charles Stewart for your companionship and to the medical staff who cared for Maggie. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Duddlesten Funeral Home, 604 W. Hidalgo Ave., Raymondville, Texas.
