April 13, 1956 - November 14, 2021

Edcouch, Texas Kenneth Ray Berg, 65 of Edcouch, TX, was called to his heavenly home on Sunday, November 14,2021 surrounded by his loved ones at McAllen Medical. He was born on April 13, 1956 in Edinburg, Tx., son of Chester and Bobbie Sue(Richardson) Berg. He is preceded in death by his father Chester Berg and his brother Alan Berg. Kenneth loved playing sports in high school and was selected to All Valley Football his senior year. He attended Texas A&I University in Kingsville until he joined the family farming business. He enjoyed working the land and growing cotton and sorghum. He loved fishing and hunting but his greatest joy was his two children, Evan and Elyssa. Kenneth is survived by his wife; Jerry Lee Boycan Berg, son; Evan Berg, daughter; Dr. Elyssa Berg, mother; Bobbie Sue Berg and his sister; Patty (Hershel) Peck, plus numerous nieces and nephews. Services will be held Friday, November 19, 2021 at 10:00 am at Duddlesten Funeral Home in Raymondville, with Pastor Steven Parker officiating the service. There will be a private interment at Lyford Evergreen Cemetery in Lyford, Texas. In Lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation be made to the Rio Grande Valley Diabetes Association. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Duddlesten Funeral Home, 604 West Hidalgo, Raymondville, TX.
