Dolores H. Witte

November 22, 1931 - June 14, 2018

Dolores H. Witte, 86, beloved wife, sister, aunt and friend entered into eternal rest surrounded by her family on Thursday, June 14, 2018 in McAllen, Texas. Dodi, as she was affectionately known, was born in Laredo, Texas, but had been a resident of McAllen for numerous years. Dodi was a caring, and generous soul who gave of herself and her resources. She did not hesitate to help those in need whether family, friend or stranger. Dodi was an avid collector of antiques, dolls and doll houses. Dodi enjoyed the company of small animals and cared for strays. She had natural athletic abilities. Dodi was a star softball player known for fielding and batting. She excelled at bowling and scored the first 300 (perfect game) in Brownsville. She accomplished this feat twice. Dodi was Texas State Bowling Champion 2 years in a row, winning sponsorship from Columbia Bowling Balls. Dodi was deeply loved and will be missed by her family and all those fortunate to have known her. Dodi was preceded in death by her parents, Cresencio V. and Natalia P. Hinojosa; sisters: Ruby Neece, Tencha Sloss, and Elena Vergott and brothers: Carlos, Cresencio, Enrique, and Daniel Hinojosa. Dodi is survived by her husband of 57 years, Clyde Witte, her brothers Raul, Richard (Barbara+) and Amador Hinojosa, her brother in law Larry Witte, sister in laws, Betty (Bob+) Montgomery, Janelle (Jim) McKay, numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, June 17, 2018 and continue through the evening, and on Monday morning until the service. Funeral Service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Monday, June 18, 2018 at Duddlesten Funeral Home 604 W. Hidalgo Ave., Raymondville, Texas. Committal services will follow at Raymondville Memorial Cemetery. Serving as Dodi’s Pallbearers will be Carlos Hinojosa, Ben R. Neece, Duane Neece, Keith Witte, Mark Witte, and Robert Vergott. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Duddlesten Funeral Home, 604 W. Hidalgo Ave., Raymondville, Texas.
