Adelaida M. Chapa Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Lasara,Texas Adelaida (Yaya) M. Chapa, 88 of Lasara, Texas, entered into eternal rest on Monday, July 25, 2022 in Retama Manor Nursing Home. She was born on July 12, 1934 in Stockholm, Texas, daughter of Aurelio and Maria (Del Pilar) Marroquin who precede her in death, along with her husband, Joe E. Chapa; her brothers, Arnulfo, Ramon, Daniel and Rogerio Marroquin; sisters Lupita Loftis and infant sister Sanaida Marroquin. Infant brothers, Lupito and Mikito Marroquin; step-children Erasmo Chapa,Sr., Gregorio Chapa and Olga Chavez. Yaya is survived by her sisters , Cecilia Lopez, Mary (Rene) Flores; brothers, Andres (Isabel) Marroquin, Mike (Amy) Marroquin, Aurelio (Nora) Marroquin; sisters-in-law, Enriqueta "Katy" Marroquin, Elvira Marroquin, Irma Flores; various step-grandchildren, step great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great grandnieces and nephews too numerous to count but whom she loved with all her heart! Just a mention of their names brought a smile to her face! Visitation will be held at Duddlesten Funeral Home on Friday, July 29, 2022 from 9 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 11833 FM 1015, Lasara, Texas on Saturday, July 30, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. and interment will follow in the Lasara Cemetery, Lasara, Texas. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Duddlesten Funeral Home, 604 West Hidalgo Ave., Raymondville, Texas.
